a poem from the lovely Carla: http://firepraiser.tumblr.com/post/20502085234/when-the-suicidal-thoughts-come
———
remember the times:
midnight talks underneath the Moscow sky
stomachs out, an overdose of mashed potatoes
your friends took turns to touch the food baby
remember prayers never go unanswered:
you asked Jesus about your purpose yesterday
give Him a chance today, chew silence
He may tell you tomorrow
remember never to despise small beginnings:
hardships make honorable stories
draw a tree, holding branches of dreams
minimum wage does not define you

This poem is inspired by this scripture: “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” (The seven lamps represent the eyes of the LORD that search all around the world.)” - Zechariah 4:10
It reminds me that everyday has new GRACE and MERCY from Jesus. What may look like a “small or regular” day is still a good day because of His unfailing love and He is still working on your story when you trust Him, one day at a time.
